Ichikawa's film
Masaki Kobayashi produced in 1962 and entitled
"Seppuku" (Word is also known as harakiri
, a term that refers to the ritual of samurai suicide) soon will enjoy new life with a 3D remake of the Japanese director Takashi Miike
. The leading role played by Tatsuya Nakadai
(77 years) will be assigned to
ebiz Ichikawa (32 years) who participated in the 2006 film,
"Deguchi no Nai Umi" (Sea Without Exit). The remake of "Seppuku" will have the 'honor of being the first genre film
jidaigeki to be made in 3D. Considering the classic and the cast that took part in the famous' original work , the version of Miike undoubtedly attract much attention. The director started filming in October, which is slated for release in 2011.
